This is a very elegant P.W. Ellis & Co. (Toronto, Canada, 1877 - 1928), Art Nouveau dresser or vanity table sterling and crystal jar set. This handsome set features a large powder jar (3" tall x 4" across) with 2 smaller cream jars (1 1/2 tall x 1 3/4" across). The powder jar has a cut crystal star pattern and the smaller jars have 8 sides with a top and bottom bevelled edges.
The sterling lids have the name "Jean" engraved in script which is framed with a beautiful repousse design. Each lid is also hallmarked with the P.W. Ellis Hallmarks and the word "Sterling". The sterling has fantastic patina and I see no damage to this wonderful find.
