The wonderful curving and flowing design of this pin makes it very representative of the Art Nouveau period. It features a majestic open iris bloom expressed in stamped brass (possibly gilt) with a brilliant paste stone at it's center. The metal has a beautiful patina. The closing mechanism is the old C clasp. This lovely old brooch measures 1 1/8" x 1".
