Juliana Vintage Costume Jewelry by Delizza & Elster
1950's and 60's

De Lizza and Elster Company (D & E) was founded in New York by William De Lizza and Harold Elster in 1947. They produced jewelry together with their sons, Anthony and Frank for many different companies including Coro, Hobe, Carnegie, Lane and many more. They also produced many fabulous lines of their own.
One of their most collected lines today is the Juliana jewelry line which is reported to have been produced by son, Frank De Lizza but named after William De Lizza's mother.
Although there is often difficulty in properly identifying Juliana jewelry, there is no question to it's beauty. These pieces were marked only by a paper hang tag which makes a positive identification very difficult today. Many collectors have learned to identify with accuracy the identifying characteristics of this line.

Frank De Lizza has been very helpful in recent years by being kind enough to provide positive identifications upon request from collector clubs. He has most recently released a book detailing the history of this company as well as information for identification purposes.
