This is an enchanting Victorian 9k gold mourning pin. There is a lock of woven human hair under a curved crystal bezel. The gold setting is a very detailed snake or serpent, with tail in mouth. This was a popular early symbol of eternal life. This beautiful pin measures 1 1/4 " x 7/8". The back has an old style "c" clasp and tube hinge. This antique pin is in wonderful condition. |
