Here is a gorgeous early Victorian paste pin that is set with mine cut stones in gilt brass. The mine cut stones sit in closed back buttercups. The clasp is the old c style. This is a large and dramatic piece that measures 3" x 2". The frame is handmade with one tip of the 3 part spray slightly open. This is just the way it was closed off by the maker. With my loupe, I see only one small chip in one of the hand cut stones and there is wear to the gilt. Otherwise condition is outstanding.
