This is a very lovely late Victorian or early Edwardian gold filled locket which is marked with R.B.M. Atrice 1874 together with a honey bee symbol. It is also marked Pat. Feb 10 03, on the inside rim. R.B. MacDonald and Co. was established in Attleboro, Mass. in 1874.
The locket features a beautiful floral engraved design with embedded red and clear stones. The reverse is engraved with beautifully stylized initials.
Both of the picture rings and celluloid inserts remain intact.
The clasp and hinge are in good working order and the entire piece is in very good condition with only minor wear. It measures as it 1 1/4" across.
