Here is an awesome Victorian gold-filled picture locket. It features an etched floral design on the front that is set with sparkling crystal rhinestone. The finish is a soft frosted gold. It is marked S.K.M. on the inside which stands for the S.K.Merrill Co., Providence, RI. (1871 - 1915). This company was known for its high quality gold and gold-filled jewelry. This beautiful locket measures 1" across. The bottom panel has a frame insert to hold a picture. The chain appears original and measures 18" in length. The locket is in excellent condition and closes tightly. The hinge works perfectly and the locket snaps shut securely. |
