Here is a very lovely 18K gold plated (tested), sunburst brooch made by D'orlan, a Canadian jewelry company founded by Maurice Bradden in 1957. This company also produced the Nina Ricci line. He had previously worked for Marcel Boucher in New York.
This stunning brooch features a double tiered starburst design with multi-colored beads, rhinestones and faux pearl. The gleaming gold-plate is thick and free from wear. It measures 1 3/4" across and the condition is exceptional. I have seen another of this brooch included with matching earrings and the makers mark appears only on the earrings.
