This beautiful vintage Elgin American compact in done in scalloped shell design in rich gold tone with 17 sparkling clear rhinestones on it's lid. There are two small compartments for rouge and under that a place for powder. The bottom of the empty rouge compartments have lovely impressed writing that reads, "For refill No. 1218 send 25 cents and shade desired to Elgina, 358 Fifth Ave, New York City". The mirror has a very tiny bit of clouding. The clasp is secure and the metal is shiny and in excellent condition. This piece has a diameter of 3".
