Here is a stunning vintage Sherman crystal brooch and earrings set. This fabulous demi parure features prong set blue aurora borealis rhinestones in shining, rhodium-plated metal. The set flashes all the fire collectors associate with this designer, known for using brilliant, Swarovski stones.
The 1 1/2" x 2 1/8 brooch has a layered twig shape with wire pronged navette aurora borealis leaves attached to a long branch of baguette jewels, framed by a ring of baguette stones. It is signed Sherman in script.The 1 1/2 earrings feature aurora borealis navettes and baguettes with a chaton near the top. Both earrings are signed Sherman in block capitals on their clips. It also bears a very small patent number.
This set is in near mint condition. The only thing I can find to note is one very small nick in one of the brooch stones. I found it with my No. 10 jeweler's loupe. Gorgeous pieces of Canadian collectible costume jewelry. |
